Director of Marketing and Communications
My Intelligent Machines (MIMs) is looking for a talented Director of Marketing and Communications to plan and oversee all marketing, communications and public relations at MIMs.
MIMs is a fast-growing, inclusive company with a dynamic and gender balanced team building a world class augmented intelligence platform for life scientists working in Biopharma and Agriculture companies This R&D platform enables them to develop more efficient and personalized treatments and agro-products.
This newly created position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will work closely with a team composed of Directors of Business Development, Community and Client Success Managers, as well as technical team members. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning and oversight of marketing, communication and public relations functions at MIMs.
Being an innovative and engaging individual, you will develop and implement a multi-faceted marketing and communications strategy and deploy a suitable mix of digital, and traditional media and marketing tools that will serve to define and enhance the perceptions of MIMs’ mission and products, increase audience engagement and build capacity for revenue growth.
Main ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Business Development Director to identify, characterize and monitor the evolution of the targeted markets and competitive landscape;
Develop effective messaging, positioning and promotion strategy for MIMs’ products in the assigned vertical;
Develop and execute a cohesive marketing and communications strategy, ensuring brand consistency, and manage the creation of advertising, and promotional materials, press releases, brochures, animations and videos utilizing online web and social media platforms, as well as printed and other traditional formats;
Create strategic and operational plans and budgets as they relate to marketing and communications;
Manage MIMs’ branding strategy and resources, including product and solutions name, logo, graphics and tagline that align with MIMs’ mission and key markets;
Negotiate media partnership agreements;
Leverage sponsorship and advertising opportunities to achieve maximum exposure and grow brand awareness;
Mentor and coach junior team members.
Successful completion of a university or college degree in Communications, Marketing or equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management marketing and communication role;
Proven skills, knowledge and expertise in designs and execution of marketing and communications activities;
Strategic and innovative thinker with excellent analytical skills that can help create a stronger brand presence, and positively impact corporate brand, reputation and awareness;
Experience with marketing automation, CMS, ad management, project management and other marketing and team productivity tools
Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, organizational, negotiation and communication skills;
Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks from concept through implementation and deliver quality outcomes on time and on budget;
Excellent drafting and presentation skills to various audiences in both official languages.
