My Intelligent Machines (MIMs) is looking for a talented East Coast US-based Director of Business Development to acquire and manage relationships with BioPharma clients.

MIMs is a fast-growing software company, with a dynamic and gender balanced team building a world-class augmented intelligence platform for R&D life scientists working in BioPharma companies, helping them to stratify patient populations and to identify drug targets as well as biomarkers.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be part of a marketing and business development team composed of marketing and communications managers, partnership managers as well as technical and scientific experts. Within this team, your primary duties will include identifying novel business opportunities within the BioPharma space, building and maintaining successful relationships, creating contract-winning proposals, evaluating, and reporting on current business development performance and maximizing business reach and potential.

Main Responsibilities

  • Quickly become a subject matter expert on products and competition while remaining up-to-date on relevant industry news;
  • Collaborate with the CEO and the Marketing team to define the commercial strategy;
  • Execute the sales playbook on commercial strategy;
  • Directly identify and develop relationships with new clients in target markets;
  • Work on identified prospective clients and leads with the teams;
  • Attend conferences to meet prospective clients and maintain existing relationships;
  • Scope contracts for clients.
  • Report to the executive team and to the board, on sales performances in the segment under your responsibility
  • Collaborate extensively with marketing, partnerships, scientific and product development teams.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • PhD or Masters’ degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics or relevant discipline enabling in depth, technical understanding of challenges resolved by our SAAS software solutions;
  • At least 2 years of experience in complex solutions and software B2B sales in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries;
  • In-depth understanding of the challenges faced by biopharmaceutical companies particularly around R&D clinical data driven strategies;
  • Experience at selling novel solutions;
  • Demonstrated outstanding collaborative skills;
  • Be highly proactive, self-motivated and detail-oriented with a roll-up your sleeve attitude to get things done;
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills in English.
